In our last post, we discussed how thermal oxidizers destroy VOCs generated in various manufacturing processes. Another type of environmental system Stelter & Brinck designs and manufactures to destroy harmful pollutants is the catalytic oxidizer.
Catalytic Oxidizers employ a metal catalyst monolith to destroy VOCs. The oxidizers metal catalyst uses a lower temperature air stream to destroy VOCs than does the Thermal Oxidizer, and thus, the Catalytic Oxidizer uses less fuel and has lower associated operating costs. Stelter & Brinck’s Catalytic Oxidizer is standard with heat recovery, which further reduces energy costs.
